Lea's Peppermint Bark Recipe

Hi!,

This is a recipe that my daughter makes every year at Christmas time and is one of my favorites!

Not only is it good, but it is very easy!

1 LB almond bark
1 cup of peppermint candy canes (Crushed)

Supplies Needed:

Large mixing bowl
Wax Paper
Cookie Sheet

Use instructions on almond bark package to melt in mixing bowl.
Add crushed pieces and stir
Put wax paper on cookie sheet
Spread on mixture on cookie sheet and refigderate (Or freeze if you need it sooner) until hard
Break up into pieces
Put in gift tins, baskets or tissue paper with a bow, but don't let it melt, keep at room temp. or colder!

You can have the kids:

  • Help you crush the candy canes, just be careful of the sharp edges that can be created when breaking the candy.
  • Help you stir the mixture together
  • Have fun breaking the hardened mixture into the pieces, just don't let them break the pieces too small!

Here are some recommended items to help you with this fun Christmas Candy Project!
